Please note that we have decided to cancel church today. We never like to make this decision but with a winter advisory in effect for most of Northern Worcester county until 9am tomorrow and ice and freezing rain predicted for many of the towns that we have community in until at least 10 am it seems only right to encourage people to stay safe and off the roads.
I am aware that for some of you who live south and east of Worcester, or even in Worcester proper, the ice may become a rain event as early as 8am and it will seem that we should not have cancelled. But with our music team all traveling from the north and very early during the peak of the icing, and many more of us coming from the towns where it will not turn to rain until 10 we feel it is best for us to cancel tomorrow.
We invite everyone to use the time to find space to worship in ways that bring us all together through the Spirit. I personally will miss you all tomorrow but look forward to next week together. If the roads turn out to be fine and this was a hyper conservative call I apologize, but maybe then we can use the morning to assert our citizenship in the greater world wide church and find other places to explore and worship in with our brothers and sisters in Christ that have community on other branches of this great tree.
Finally kindly send texts and or calls to those who may not read this email.
Peace all…
